She covers herself with a cloak of defence ….
You see she reckons it will protect her
Like a hard barb wired fence….
Always followed by her emotional hurricane
Her clouds of pain never quite seem to disperse,
Though her world could be a beautiful song,
If she could just find her hook or verse….
But her clouds just downpour torrentially,
and if it rains outside she no longer minds,
for she could disguise her tears potentially….
and no
she never asked for this misery…
But trapped in a prison of her own mind….
She can’t help but to remember
when these scars appear so vividly..
And even though I tried to love her with my hearts abundance of wealth…
To her how could I possibly..
When she doesn’t love herself

Perspectives

The world looks distorted through a shattered double glazed
I seek and pray for clarity at my window pane…
I wonder how Stevie sees the world when he peeks through his old school shades..
Full of musical colour
Red blue and green
with yellows,
Purple, black and greys…
Each note a cryptic key in the wonderful song of life
Placed together they provide inner vision
Like a bright shining light at night.
